Planning a BBQ pickup

Confirm availability, collection time and the complete order.

Check the right location

Use the restaurant website or phone to confirm the pickup address and ordering channel. Check that the menu belongs to that location. A business may offer a different selection for counter service, advance orders and catering.

Ask about availability

For an item you particularly want, ask whether it can be reserved with an advance order. Opening hours do not guarantee that every item will remain available throughout service. Confirm any substitution policy when you place the order.

Count the whole meal

List the meat, sides, bread, sauces and serving items you need. Ask what is already included so you avoid omissions or duplicate additions. For several people, ask the restaurant to explain its package sizes rather than guessing from photographs.

Agree on collection details

Confirm the collection time, contact name and where to wait. Check the bags against the receipt before leaving. Ask staff for their packing and handling instructions for your planned journey, especially if you will serve the meal later.
