Choosing BBQ for a group

Match the menu and service format to your gathering.

Describe the gathering

Tell the restaurant your headcount, occasion and whether you want a seated meal or food to collect. Ask which ordering format it recommends. A restaurant table booking and a catering order can involve different menus, deadlines and payment terms.

Collect preferences first

Share the current menu with the group. Identify guests who need alternatives and discuss ingredient restrictions directly with the restaurant. Do not assume that a particular side, sauce or vegetable dish fits a dietary requirement without checking.

Clarify the package

Ask exactly which meats, sides and extras the proposal includes, and how portions are described. Confirm whether serving utensils, plates or delivery are part of the order. Request a written item list so everyone is working from the same plan.

Set one final contact

Choose one person to confirm the headcount, collection or delivery details and payment. Agree on the deadline for changes and ask how cancellations are handled. Pass the final arrangements to the group before the day of the gathering.
